OUR VISION
We believe in the seed of goodness that resides and can grow in every person.
We believe that media’s power coupled with a witness to Truth, Beauty and Goodness will illuminate the darkness.
We believe in the fullness of the human experience—accepting of suffering but also encompassing freedom and joy—revealed through and inherent in living a life aligned with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the church he founded.
We believe in acknowledging and igniting the baptismal call within Christians to “go and make disciples of all nations” through word and deed. (Matthew 28:19)
We believe in exploring the history of the Catholic Church and the lives of those involved in it to illustrate the meaning of redemptive suffering and to explore Jesus Christ, the Paschal Mystery.
We believe in church teachings that follow Natural Law and respect the dignity of each person, born and unborn.
OUR MISSION
1.
To provide an impetus that inspires and motivates youth, young adults and adults to better understand the Catholic faith through researching and producing faith-based media and art.
2.
To generate and create an archive of short videos that will effectively reach and teach Catholics and others through its website, www.goodnessreigns.com.
3.
To serve as a springboard for cultivating goodness in one’s life by seeking physical, emotional and spiritual well-being that also benefits the common good.
GOODNESS REIGNS PRAYER
May your many different paths all lead to that infinite Ocean of beauty where wonder becomes awe, exhilaration, unspeakable joy.
May you be guided and inspired by the mystery of the Risen Christ, whom the Church in these days contemplates with joy.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary be with you always; she is the ‘tota pulchra’ (‘all beautiful’) whom Dante contemplates among the splendors of Paradise as ‘beauty that was joy in the eyes of all the other saints.
May your art help to affirm that true beauty which, as a glimmer of the Spirit of God, will transfigure matter, opening the human soul to the sense of the eternal.

Goodness Reigns: Share the Story is an endeavor to call upon youth and young adults to use media and art to explore and share the faith.
Not only does Goodness Reigns seek to create media and art and to show goodness in action but it also aspires to be a launching point for cultivating goodness in one’s life. Submitted films will be available for viewing on the Goodness Reigns website with the hope of effectively reaching and teaching Catholics, and others, on the faith and provide resources instructing how to best live life to the full as promised by Jesus Christ.
In his 2009 address “New Technologies, New Relationships: Promoting a Culture of Respect, Dialogue and Friendship,” Pope Benedict XVI connects the universal attraction to goodness with the search for fulfillment this way: “Life is not just a succession of events or experiences: it is a search for the true, the good and the beautiful. It is to this end that we make our choices; it is for this that we exercise our freedom; it is in this — in truth, in goodness, and in beauty — that we find happiness and joy.”
Since his arrival on earth Jesus Christ has sparked countless artistic works. It is through Jesus Christ, who continues to reveal God to man, that humanity comes to terms with his true identity. “I came that you might have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
In his “Letter to Artists,” released in 1999, then Pope John Paul II spoke of “new epiphanies” and our ensuing call to communicate goodness and beauty through art. “In Christ, God has reconciled the world to himself. … It is up to you, men and women who have given your lives to art, to declare with all the wealth of your ingenuity that in Christ the world is redeemed: the human person is redeemed, the human body is redeemed, and the whole of creation which, according to Saint Paul, ‘awaits impatiently the revelation of the children of God,’ is redeemed. This is your task. Humanity in every age, and even today, looks to works of art to shed light upon its path and its destiny.”
